Biggest task was taking initiative to organize and create a material selections process by working closely with clients to achieve project goals. Work mainly consists of preliminary design, material curation, construction documents and support of senior staff. Other work includes, marketing, presentation design and creation, writing articles for various home and design magazines, and implementing new project management and organization ideas.

Project Assistant | Detroit, MI | March 2021 - May 2021
EDRA52 Project Assistant was a hired position to help build out and manage the virtual platform. Much of the work revolved around organizing, creating and managing content to build out the conference. Other tasks included setting up and managing the help desk command center, volunteers and providing technical support to the attendees, speakers and presenters.

Research Assistant | Detroit, MI | 2017 - 2020
Research assistant for two different projects lead by Claudia Bernasconi. The first was analyzing how drone photography can be used to make digital models and if it was comparable to the digital models created by laser scanning. The second and most current project was analyzing survey data taken in 2014 by UDM, the MINETA National Transit Research Consortium and Transportation Riders United on public opinion regarding transit in southeast Michigan. Results were compared to the literature review on similar studies done globally as well as a psychological understanding behind the voters reasoning. The paper, Political and Ideological Dimensions of Transit: Understanding the US and Them of Public Transit in Southeast Michigan will be presented at the 2021 EDRA52 conference and is currently being peer reviewed for a transit journal.

Social media management and public relation initiatives that included promotion of Blue Print for Better (an AIA national initiative) and the annual Celebration of Architecture event. Promotion for both included curation and creation of graphics and content, event communications, updating the website and other digital media outlets.

Many of the projects were interior renovations of very old buildings for small commercial or new high-end residential designed for very rugged terrain. Learning to balance the history and existing was done through basic 3D massings, material selections and technical drawings.

Worked with a partner to design a graphics package for Chon’s Unique House of Hair, a hair salon located on 6 mile in Detroit, MI. Graphics package included a new logo design, renderings for potential use and a series of patterns that could be printed on fabrics for personalized furniture.
